As with most ranches this one had divided living spaces. The first priority was to open it up for a flowing entertainment space with views out both sides of the home. Along with the layout, David Way brought his vision to the brick fireplace and clad it to match the kitchen and dining area cabinets to make the spaces sleek and seamless.

Today, I drove by to see the progress on David’s latest creation for clients in Lakeview Park. This week the team began applying the exterior wood and metal materials further emphasizing the composition of architectural volumes.

We couldn’t have had better weather or a more skilled crew to place the steel. Thanks to AMC Steel and Dover Crane I could finally rest knowing that one of the most technically challenging tasks for the project was behind us.

I was happy to find that this compact and clever infill house had recently sold. My past clients and I have been a big fan of David Way’s Peregrine urban prototype home and have been watching its evolution over the years. After touring I thought that this one was his best yet.
